strategy + STAFFING for CHANGE Events

What We Do

When a substantial change event occurs, like adopting a new IT platform or software, implementing a new regulatory requirement, or moving to the cloud, most companies find themselves at risk and without the resources or plan to manage through the adoption lifecycle.

We’re a specialized consulting and staffing firm focused on getting the right processes, procedures and systems implemented and adopted by employees, so you can stay focused on your core business. Our clients hire us so they can sleep easier at night.

Simply put, we take ownership of these challenges and get them done.

How We Help

  • Take the time to understand your unique situation and map out the plan to execute.

  • Centralize ownership of the process across organizational silos.

  • Providing staffing support from our network of experts.

  • Blending new processes into your existing systems.

  • Rolling out the "new normal" through training and evangelizing.

Our Expertise

We provide expert staffing in:

  • Strategic project management

  • IT project management — technology integration

  • Software solution market acuity

  • Process integration

  • Training and organizational education

Specialists in ASC 842

One change event we're especially focused on right now is FASB ASC 842:

  • The Financial Accounting Standards Board's new standards compel greater financial transparency about leases and operating expenses. ASC 842 is expected to bring ~$3 trillion onto company balance sheets.

  • Deadlines start taking effect at the beginning of 2019. The transition in most cases will take 9-18 months to complete.

  • Changes will impact many departments, including accounting and finance, IT, procurement and real estate and development. Compliance requires a new level of collaboration and breaking down silos.

  • About 2/3 of companies anticipate needing new or upgraded software. Many companies say they need more staffing to manage compliance.

  • More than 70% of companies haven't completed their compliance efforts, and more than 1/3 are concerned they won't meet their deadline.

Why We're Different

We’ve been in our clients' shoes. We’ve hired and managed (and been disappointed by) consulting firms. At Nokes Consulting Group, we don’t want to be the biggest company – we simply want to be the best. We do one thing: Get you through change events. And we do it very well. Our ultimate goal is to give our clients the experience we didn't have: a great partner they can trust, that just gets it done.

Our approach means you benefit in some important ways:

  • Cost savings. As a small firm with a focused business model, we have less overhead. That means you receive quality services at a lower cost.

  • Flexibility. Being smaller also means we're more nimble and adaptable to your needs.

  • No up-selling. We won't pitch you additional services.

  • Peace of mind. Focus on your core business, knowing that we're executing the process for you.

Illustrative Projects

  • Led FASB readiness for leading real estate and facilities management software company: Owned strategy and execution to early adopter retailers, managed internal evangelism/education, collaborated with Big 4 and lease compliance accounting firms and created messaging to customer-facing teams and Fortune 500 customers.

  • Directed integration strategy of EMV compliance in gas pump media solution: Partnered with customers and internal product management leadership to adapt product strategy to meet needs of media provider, advertisers, distribution channel, C-store owners and consumer experience, ensuring change requirements were not compromised.

  • Created HIPPA compliance program for Cisco: Created managed services model supporting Cisco HealthPresence, working across multiple business units to establish an end-to-end solution that met HIPPA data protection requirements, health provider needs and seamless customer experience.
